Delete your account.

1 · In the app.

Open Adhyatm, go to Profile, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once. After that it is done immediately and it cannot be undone.

This is not the same as signing out. Signing out forgets you on one device and leaves everything on the server, ready for when you sign in again. Deleting removes the account itself.

2 · If you cannot open the app.

Lost the phone, already uninstalled, or cannot sign in: write to privacy@adhyatm.co from the email address you signed in with, and ask us to delete the account. We will confirm it is you, delete everything within seven days, and write back to tell you it is done.

Use the same address you signed in with. It is the only thing that lets us match a request to an account, and we would rather ask you twice than delete the wrong person's work.

3 · What is deleted.

Everything tied to you, in one pass:

• Sessions. Every Darpan session and its full transcript, including the closing verse and reflection.
• Notes. The arcs, framings, and threads the mirror wrote about you, and your journal entries.
• Bookmarks. Every verse you saved.
• Sign-in. Your Google identity, your email, and every device signed in to the account.
• The account row itself, including your name and preferences.

Signing in again afterwards does not bring any of it back. It creates a new, empty account that happens to use the same Google address.

4 · What remains, and why.

One thing survives, and we would rather say so plainly than leave you to find out.

When Adhyatm detects that someone may be in crisis, it records that it happened: a label and a timestamp. It never records what you wrote. Deleting your account cuts that record loose from you, so it is no longer tied to any person, and keeps it.

It is kept because it is the only honest record of whether the safety net worked. If those rows vanished with the accounts, we could never tell whether the system was catching people or missing them, and that is the one question we cannot afford to be wrong about. There is nothing in the row that could identify you.

Copies of your data also sit in disaster-recovery backups for a time after deletion. They are never used to restore a deleted account, and they age out on the retention window described in our privacy policy.

5 · How long it takes.

• In the app: immediately.
• By email: within seven days, with a reply confirming it.

If seven days pass and you have not heard from us, write again. A real person reads that inbox, and a request that goes quiet is a failure on our side, not a decision.
